La Col•legiata is located in the centre of the city, just north of Gandia Town Hall.

Church with a single nave with chapels between buttresses and a major chapel in the head, is divided into nine sections. The cover is resolved by groin vaults. Annexe to the first section is the bell tower.

In the middle of 14th century and the beginning of 15th century, by request of the royal dukes (Alfons el Vell), this church began its construction, whose primitive disposition was composed of five sections and the head. Between 1500 and 1507 the church suffers one of his greatest expansions, thanks to the intervention of Maria Enríquez.

During the Spanish Civil War, it was strongly damaged, this is why the apse shows a clearly different construction process.
